Alcatraz Brewing Company
Indianapolis, Indiana
Patrons entering this pub are greeted by a 21 foot high, 8 foot diameter grain silo, introducing the trendy concept of "on site" beer brewing. In honor of the Brewery's namesake, a whimsical "Alcatraz Prison" theme is reflected in the "Golden Gate" bar tables and "prison cell bars" at booth partitions. The interior features an industrial motif: glass block flooring at the mezzanine, exposed mechanical ducts, galvanized table tops, and chrome and wood chairs. Despite the industrial approach, a comfortable upscale ambiance is generated by warm dark woods throughout for furniture, partitions, the stairway and other details.
