Blackhawk Grille
Blackhawk, California
A mint condition classic car is the centerpiece for this casual but elegant restaurant located in an upscale shopping and cultural complex. An automotive theme is carried out through stainless steel chairs, hubcap wall sconces and booths covered in fabric that replicate vintage cars. The designers complimented the hard edged metallic and steel details with rich earth toned carpets and softly textured wall surfaces. A covered ceiling made from culvert pipe defines the path from the entry to an open kitchen. The triple vaulted ceiling features 15 foot high windows that capture the view of the courtyard's waterfalls, walkways and fountains.
